Auckland is spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing a venue to enjoy a drink out. With so many options available it’s good to have a list to pick from based on what you’re looking for.  So I’ve compiled a fairly comprehensive list that groups bars together by the following categories:

The Sunday Session

The Brits and Aussies are well and truely versed in the Sunday session but here in NZ we’re a little reluctant to jump on this bandwagon. Having said this there are  some bars scattered around Auckland that provide a great venue for the Sunday Session.

Before the Concert Place

Located in central Auckalnd, Vector Arena has attracted massive acts over the past few years including Coldplay, Eric Clapton, Foo Fighters, Chemical Brothers and Green Day just to mention a few. So if you are going to a gig at Vector Arena here’s some great spots to meet up with friends and grab a bite to eat and drink before your big night out.

The Spot to Dance

There’s nothing worse than going to a bar that’s been recommended only to discover that it doesn’t get good until later in the night.  To avoid this, here’s some top notch bars that go off after 10pm.
